weatherwiz
3 of the 5 days so far this week they have recorded 0.01'' of precip, at the times of the measurement sky conditions have been reported as clear or even FEW. Right now radar shows something over that area but it looks like clutter...if sky is CLR where is the 0.01'' coming from?

PSUBlizzicane2007
How common of an occurrence is that there? Mobile is an exceptionally humid location where dew is a regular occurrence.

PSUBlizzicane2007
Happens in Pensacola,FL too. Had some issues with that when Weather Challenge was there. That's where I'm from. It's amazing how much dew occurs there sometimes.
ALhurricane
Pensacola was more than a dew issue, but that has been fixed. BFM is a typical dew issue.
famartin
Some ASOS units now use a weighing gauge (AWPAG), making dew tips less likely. Still not impossible. Of course, since its a weighing gauge, they aren't "tips" per se. KPNS has an AWPAG. Other ASOS units still use a tipping bucket so they definitely get their fair share of those. KBFM has a tipping bucket. Here's the master list of ASOS with the new AWPAG. If the ASOS isn't on this list, then it has a tipping bucket. http://www.nws.noaa..../AWPAG_stat.pdf
