Y'all, either my friends are drunk or something is going on that I'm not seeing. People are posting all on FB that there are flurries mixed in with the rain here in Kernersville. Can anyone confirm flurries east of the mtns? My personal opinion is that they are seeing blowing rain and mistaking it for flurries.

same down here near asheboro. I cant imagine they actually are i havent seen anything other than watching the security cams at our Boone office at work lol

server crashed. transitioning to a new server when i talked with Mike Doble from Appnet, owner of resortcams.com

Looks like the cams at www.booneweather.com are up and working. The one at the High School was working just a minute ago and will show accumulation in the grass and the Street Cams will give you an idea of road conditions in the middle of town. Might be a good alternate to the Appnet cams.

BTW almost everything we got this morning is gone. Hoping for some good stuff tonight but a little worried about the winds. Ground's getting pretty wet today.

Thought you were nuts but.....................CONFIRMED!! No Sh&T! Really, really light though. I had to let it hit my black car in order to decipher.

Edit - ok, now done. Only thing I can figure is when a cloud with heavier precip passes overhead, it's just enough to pop a few flurries down to the surface. Almost like grauple (sp?) for lack of a better description.

Are you serious? Are you sure you didn't have some margaritas at Don Juans for lunch? lol! I'm not seeing it.

OK. I just stood looking outside till I went cross eyed. I'm seeing something, but are you sure it's not just light rain blowing?

Wow, bet they're loving it up at my alma mater (James Madison University in Harrisonburg). Assuming any of it gets to the valley floor.

Nothing but leaf blizzards and drafty windows in Earnhardtville. I'm really pulling for you guys in the mountains and foothills to get a good solid snow out of this. Stay warm and stay safe.
