Yeoman
Just took a stroll out and man...it's a scene. Got a few good gusts out there, lots of Fire trucks racing past and hardly anybody on 14th street. Very odd sight. Not even a hooker?
Fozz
Could be that the map doesn't include Pepco utils. If you look at the Pepco site's map, you'll see that their coverage area roughly follows the countours of the lower outage areas on this one. Just a thought. I'm not even talking about Montgomery and PG counties, even elsewhere I expected much worse.
H2O
not even a hooker? That's what the fire trucks were for. Water ho rescue

Last 15-20 minutes...sustained 30 and gusts near 60. It's really pounding out there right now.

RDM
971.3mb and 4.29" so far on Lawyers Road just North of Vienna. Just lost a tree in the front yard. It was uprooted this time, not like the 2 we lost during the Derecho that were snapped off about 15 feet up. An eerie calm set in just after the gust that took the tree. MDsnowPRO
cnn is the worst network ever. They have one idiot in AC standing in a badly flooded intersection in waist deep water while they are telling to people to stay inside. And then that moron Anderson Cooper is trying to conduct phone interviews from a street in NY where he is literally being pushed around by the wind. Seriously wish they would both be washed away.
