catoctin wx
Winds picked up and gusting to 35 mph on my PWS. 2.3" so far in the rain gauge. I think the winds are cutting down on the rain rates I'm seeing though since it is basically blowing horizontally at times.

MN Transplant
I think there's a "No Wind" dome over my wind gauge... It is really hard for PWSs to get wind right. Remember, ASOS anemometers are at 10m (33ft) and wide open. I have mine on my roof and it has gusted to 33 mph through the trees despite obvious 50+ gusts. Sitting at 470ft with 100'+ trees is a little scary. Just out with the dog and made sure to stay on the more open side of the street.

adelphi_sky
I concur. Seeing some of the strongest gusts of the day. Watching the yellows approach from the NE. I give us 10-20 minutes before it's time to duck and cover!
Avdave
A plane just took advantage of the slight lull and snuck out of Dulles. Wonder if that'll be the last one that I hear for a while Probably a general aviation aircraft or Labcorp plane

Winds are much higher than that though.
