Bob Chill
Just talked to my mom. She lives in Cambridge on the water. Tides about 2 feet above normal and winds gusting in 30's at times most of the afternoon. She was quite surprised that it hasn't rained much here. She said its been pouring off and on for hours. kas80
I think the east side of the bay experienced very different things so far than the west. We have had barely any rain so far, just high gusts throughout the afternoon.

Zeromus-X
Not sure if this'll work since I'm hotlinking from a Facebook page, but this is supposed to be a shot of the James River Bridge in Suffolk/Newport News about two hours ago. The water usually sits pretty close to the bridge but that's closer than I've seen in a long time, and well before high tide. I'm in downtown Suffolk and just tried to set up an IP cam out my window but our complex won't allow me to port forward to it from the router, so I can't have any outside access anyway. Not that it matters since our internet goes out on a seemingly daily basis. It's been drizzling/light rain here the entire day. Was much windier last night, no real wind gusts that I've noticed during the day. Sounds like it's picking up a little outside now. Only water problems have been the typical tide flood areas. lsukev
I am kind of upset with my employer (government). They are giving no direction to emergency employees about staying off the roads after their shifts are over tomorrow afternoon and early Tuesday morning. Someone is going to get hurt, especially those leaving around midnight Tuesday morning.
