An interesting thought crossed my mind. This will most likely be the most widespread significant event in our region that has ever happened on modern history. I know other hurricanes have been more intense but they affected a much smaller portion of our area.

I personally didn't think Isabel was that big of a deal west of 95. It wasn't in mby. The derecho was more intense albeit very brief.

Now that the reality is setting in of having derecho like winds region wide for potentially 12 hours or longer it's starting to feel a bit surreal. And then having Isabel like winds for 24 additional hours....and 5"+ of rain.

This is going to be a wild one and that is an understatement.

Eh, Isabel, Irene, the derecho...snowmaggedon?

It is in the banter thread so who cares. It is related to the storm we are all talking about.

Edit: Is in the main thread, but its still related to the storm and its not a bad thing to see whats going on downstream.

The question was if you actually care about his updates or not, not whether or not it related to the storm/discussion.

I just don't want any water in my basement. That may sound weird when you consider all the other possible effects of this storm, but I'm actually serious.

I don't really want a tree through my roof, either, but there's simply nothing you could do about it when all the trees are on your neighbors' properties. Water in a basement is just frustrating as all hell.

Blizz is the single reason I came to root against that region getting snow (or at least the big snowstorms). Never used to care before I encountered him on these boards.

Part of the reason 2009/10 was so exquisite was his howls of pain ever time the blocking gave us a huge storm and left them fringed with next to nothing. It was awesome.

You do realize his posts are an act right.

Other than that, lot of the SNE posting right now is straight up embarrassing
