Unprecedented rain is a stretch.. Not to smack down preps for it but we have had plenty of big rain events around here.

Agree but not sure when we had rain like this cover such a large geographic area. Main drainage creeks and rivers are gonna b busy.

Same here.

Funny story, I picked up a sandbag yesterday. I live on the 3rd floor of my apt building and put it in front of our door as a joke. The neighbors know I'm a met. They knocked on the door this morning and asked if they needed to get sandbags.

Consider taking some before pics in your area if you can. I'm going to at least do some iPhone shots of various corners around my place. Will go back later to do afters.

That's what I did yesterday. I went to a local park with a lot of trees and took some panos. I will go back once the park reopens after the storm.

May be his last one and then Matt and Randy will kill themselves.

not to get too political here but this storm can't be good news for him given it's mostly impacting democratic areas. plus no one is focusing on the election right now.

Wouldn't that be something if areas still didn't have power on election day. I don't think you could delay a national election.

Early voting just started yesterday here in MD and it is open from 12-6 today and i got there at 11:50 and there were already 500 cars there already. Im sure it is because of the strong feelings for the gay marriage bill here. I do agree with you 100% though, democrats are always hurt in the turnout department in inclement weather. This could hurt Obama in Virginia and Pennsylvania.

Yeah, I'm sort of assuming the storm lingering effects suppresses turnout in NoVA which won't help Obama there. I told a friend of mine that I though the storm delivers Virginia for Romney.

Gonna go out and take some pics now while its on my mind. We have a tree just outside our apt that has not turned at all... and others that are quite bare already. will be intersting to see what it all looks like come Wednesday
