SnowGoose69
Right now the corridor from PHL-NYC-western parts of SNE like CT and W MA probably want this first system to just be a totaly miss so that the second disturbance at day 5-6 is not sheared out and sent south by a big vortex up north. Dr No
In the extended, do you recall a period where there was less storminess and precip in Canada? Short from the storm over NW Terrritories, theres nada. http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/data/model_forecast/colour_images/00_054_G1_north@america@zoomout_I_4PAN_CLASSIC@012_120.jpg

Ridingtime
It seems as if everyone has given up hope, rumor has it that the Euro changed gears big time for the better though. Weird storm this is.
Dr No
It's all sharpened up and west again. Don't think it's close enough to save DC-NY, but not far. Guessing by the low resolution maps. Just a little bit more would make a difference.

Dr No
The funny thing is that Nogaps was really far west tonight - almost like this morning's GGEM. I thought to myself that the Euro would probably be back west too... but said nah.

cleetussnow
we'll see if the 240 ECMF is better than the 120 with this. I suspect NOT

A-L-E-X
So glad I bought a track drive snowblower over summer after last winters snow lol. Now waiting for some snow:) good stOrm for eastern long island as of right now. Good storm for all of long island based on the qpf output
EasternUSWX
Surface temps, bro. Right it will likely be to warm for people around the low, but, Boston looks ok. This storm should once again crank up the lake effect machine as well.
greg81988
sorry folks, not much on reading euro maps. what does this run imply for richmond?
PhineasC
Boston gets about 18" of blizzard snow on the ECMWF run With a low tracking overhead? I assumed temp problems but I don't have Euro maps.
ORH_wxman
Surface temps, bro. 32F line is hugging just near the shore...BOS is probably about 30F during a lot of the run. In a setup like that, BOS wouldn't have a prayer of seeing rain I don't think. Maybe Cape Cod with the SSTs...but even they would be iffy.
Dr No
Actually that's much better than I thought for DC-NY looking at RH. Also, the Euro has the current storm too far south.
