ukrocks
Do you guys mind me posting my conditions from the system moving into Southern Indiana, Kentucky, and Indiana this evening. They eliminated the 12/29 thread for the Ohio Valley storm. I'm in Louisville and I'm expecting 3-6 inches of snow.

wxdudemike
Hows it lookin down there, mike? Just drove across Hamilton county (cincy metro) and I can report moderate snow. Flakes just got a lot bigger when I arrived back at home. Roads are just wet right now, although I think it will start sticking fairly soon. Looks like we're still good for 3-5"

AppsRunner
Snow is coming down good here... quite surprised by the strength of this band. EDIT: Looks like IWX is bumping up totals on their SE part of their CWA, just issued a WWA for the county southwest of me.

AppsRunner
Nothing yet. Radar been filled for 2hrs. All Virga. Unreal. Weird, we've literally had the exact opposite. Very little virga and moderate/heavy snow since. CLE upped the forecast to 2-5" here. Inch and a half on the ground

dilly84
Yeah, started snowing around 11-12 and has been very heavy at times. Stopped here. Air too dry.
vespasian70
Looks like we got 4" so far, snowing moderately now. Not bad on top of what was already on the ground.

Yea done well here once we had better dew points. Air was so dry ffirst 3 hours. We have gotten around 4-5" with moderate snow still. This snow is more powdery than last system. Bet it's close to 15:1 ratios

dilly84
While it's a ways out, keeping an eye on what could be a major player on the 9th. Current guidance is all over the place but more than one model shows it. It'll more than likely be a "ride the line" type storm but face it. You want big snows in Ohio, you're gonna have to ride the rn/sn line.
buckeye
Looked out window this morning and it looked like we had picked up about 4 new inches....once I went out to shovel it was closer to about 2". It's deceiving when you already have a snow cover. I'll mark this one in the slightly underperformed range.

jbcmh81
Was just thinking, if it didn't snow the rest of the winter, we'd have about as much snow as all of last winter. Columbus had 11.5" for the month through 7:30 this morning, making it the 11th snowiest December on record. 0.3" would tie it for 10th. We'd need about 3" more for top 5. Hell of a way to end such a warm month.
HighTechEE
We got 4" on Wed (6-10 forecast), 3 more last night (3-5 forecast) here in Bellbrook, SW Greene Co, total of 6 still on the ground. Deepest since the March '08 storm!

Deepest since the March '08 storm! I doubt it's been since 2008. In February 2010, almost everyone in the state, at one time or another had 12" or more on the ground. Cincinnati had a 15" depth at one point, and that's south of you.

jbcmh81
So..no new years eve talk or new years day..is it off the table or still something to talk about?? At this point, it doesn't appear all that significant. Maybe an inch or two for areas along and south of I-70. Something to watch, though.
