jbcmh81
Where's Buckeye? And hey JB, what ever happened to Brutus? He was pretty insightful over on Eastern, and he never came over to American. Any idea? No idea.
JayPSU
Lol...still sleet as the dry slot moves in. Complete and total failure here.
jbcmh81
Really wish there were some live streaming cams around the state, but there are almost none of any real quality. Here's the closest I can find to streaming, but it's small. http://www.bearcat1.com/webcam.htm It's from Kettering. Snowing hard there right now. He was pretty insightful over on Eastern, and he never came over to American. Any idea? just got back from the store. We've had mostly everything....sleet, grauple (sp?), snow, frz rain....all at once. Enough to accumulate into a mess on the roads. Precip lightened up, but I'm a bit intrigued by the thunderstorms moving north towards us. God only knows what the hell that will be.... ...interesting for sure. buckeye
there are going to be some pretty wacky snow totals....not just in amounts but locations. Lollipops and donuts all over the place. Not to get too meteorological, but I'm hoping my donut gets lollipopped.

We may get a couple inches later, but we're clearly losing this one in our area.

That's what models have been showing....but will it actually occur? The next hour will be crucial to see if it occurs.

I think youll at least hit the low end of the 6-10" the nws called for. Im back to the huge flakes again here. 1/2 dollar size.

extremewx52
Any reports from chillicothe right now? Dual pol looks like all snow if i am reading it right. Cc near 1 and zdr near zero or negative. I don't have my cheat sheet with me, so correct me if i am wrong. But wouldnt this indicate all snow? dilly84
I concur. Towel is thrown in on my end. Not wasting my day on here any longer. Storm was wayyyy over modeled, at least in central Ohio. Dryslotted now. First WAA killed the early morning stuff, and now the dryslot, and the transfer to the coast appears to be happening later now as well. I give up. This is typical Ohio slop. Like always. Not to mention the storm is now moving more north/Northwest.. after seeing the dryslot I'll be surprised if anyone in central Ohio sees. Over 6" and will be lucky if we reach that amount
jbcmh81
Weren't some of you ready to completely cancel winter a week or so ago? Whether or not this storm ends up mostly slop, it's still a huge change from the first half of December and we're at least in a pattern where winter storms are occurring.
