Sourtheast burbs of Dayton (Bellbrook) have had bouts of heavy snow...then it slacks for a few minutes with some sleet mixed in...but for the last half hour mostly moderate snow. Still no amped wind. Excited to see what the next few hour bring. Hopefully the rain/freezing rain just to the south stays....or begins pushing southeast as the 850's drop.

Thanks for keeping us abreast on what is happening in Dayton... You are in a great position. I'm loving what I'm looking at this morning with the position of the H7 low, the low level convergence and moisture feed. Some of these bands are going to be ripping later.

I am not particularly worried. The mix at the early stages was forecast by most of the models and was certainly in the official forecast. I think ILN was wrong to cut back totals so early unless they believe the mix is now going to be the dominant form for this storm. The deform band looks like it's going to set up right along I-70 and points just north, so once it's all snow, it's going to be a lot of it imo.

Almost all snow now over in coshocton county. The tough part is staying all snow. We started out as heavy snow, which I though would be a guarantee of not switching over. I expect the cold air to start winning out as the heavist bands move through. Still feel I am in a good position in Northwest Coshocton county. It's amazing though, 1/2 mile up the road has 2" snow. we have an 1/2" of sleet.

same here. it's killing us. we need to completely switch over. I know most will say i am crazy, but, I'd rather have a zr storm over sleet.

That is just plain sadistic.

Whoa....just had a Cantore moment....two lightening flashes and thunder...with ripping snow here in Bellbrook!!!!! About 5 inches on the ground here....now firmly northwest of the 0 -850 line!

Love it. Great convergence at 850 on the nose of WAA, upper divergence in curved jet-streak and solid lapse rates... Textbook for some ripping and thundersnow.

35-40 dbz just south of Columbus now. Curious to see if we will change to snow again while that moves overhead. Just seeing sleet and freezing rain now.

Im still utterly shocked that the waa made it so far north. I certainly didnt expect any sleet here. Like I said I am all heavy snow now, and I am sweating the sleet line still. The gradient is amazing. just up the road they were getting hammered while I was getting sleet. Amazing.
