I wish we had this 2 months from now.

Two months from now this would have been a sweet pattern coming up in the LR. My hope of having a deep low SW of the Aleutians at least early on this winter is not going to happen...so the 2nd best thing is to root on this La Nina pattern out there and hope for a big poleward Aleutian ridge. We can survive fine on that since it prohibits a big vortex in W AK/Bering straight area.

Maybe we can get some convection hanging around just west of the dateline and forcing the Aleutian..or maybe AK ridge. Waters are at least warm there.

That's -4 for a few hours and the ensembles don't really show that. I mean even if there were a few snow showers at 4K....it's 4K in NNE. I don't see 850 temps of -6, but maybe I'll be wrong.

The good news is that the end of the month at least looks seasonable.

the post was about the summit's of Stowe.

Enjoy the shorts Monday.

Yeah no kidding...it is really early. I keep telling myself it's only Oct 12th as I watch a persistent currier and Ives flurry continue outside.

MTN ops wants it warm till Nov 1....still plenty of projects to finish that are easier to do at 60F and sunny than 36F and wet snow.

Yea anyone who thinks Winter is here to stay is crazy. But ya got to love the shots across the bow, lets you know it will not be long before you will be posting epic feet of snow while Scooter watches the splats on his windshield. SKI SKI SKI
