CoastalWx
Hell yeah. 37F overnight. Not bad. Going for 26-27F tonight imby. LOL. I had a fan blowing on me all night. I did too, but wife complained about it being 63 in the house. I'm perfectly comfortable with that temp.
CoastalWx
I mean what you were referring to yesterday with a potential gradient. Does it still show It does, but we are sort of in the battle zone. It may try to ooze in during the last week perhaps. In October, I wouldn't expect anything wild...but I think we would be happy if this were December.

CapturedNature
Looks like 39° (38.7 on the digital) was the low here. Heavy frost below me though. I'm wondering if my temps will hold in the 40s today for the first time - we'll see in a few hours! Currently 44° but clouds are rolling in. CoastalWx
While I can't post it, I just compared the GEFS to the EC from a week ago. GEFS won this one. While the GEFS were not great in the PAC, they had the hint of a -NAO and did not have the ridging that the EC did over the East Coast.

CapturedNature
It's hard to tell remotely, but Woodford, VT at 2400' has dropped to 36° and I'm wondering if they had a mix up there when the front came through. http://170.222.32.148/9/

ORH_wxman
BOX actually is forecasting a tie of the record low at ORH for tomorrow morning and 1F above the record low at BDL. Oct 13th is kind of a vulnerable date for both sites so its not totally surprising. The airmass isn't ridiculous for mid-October, but definitely pretty cold...albeit short-lived. CapturedNature
The precip already went by. FWIW, the HRRR shows some widely scattered type showers later in the day. If the timing is just right and you're in the right place, I would think that there could be some mix in places.

I was noticing that - it's kind of a sandwich date as there are lows closer to 20° on either side of the date. Should be interesting what happens at both sites. My record low for the date is 25° (1987) and I'm hoping to tie that.

For most though, it's this band of cold rain.

BOX actually has a low of 33F for logan airport...which while not a record for the date (the records for BOS go back to the late 1800s), it would be the earliest 33F reading at BOS since 1984...not bad if that happens. If they can't manage 33F but manage a 34F, it would be the earliest 34F reading at BOS since 1993.
