Typhoon Tip
This would have been a real bummer a few months from now I think you're putting the horse before the cart there. First of all, if there is any "disappointment" in the way the pattern changes are affecting the area, it's the fault of the user in this case. Nothing's busted. This is, so far, behaving the way it looked it would. The trough axis is too far west to core the cold into NE. This was never going to be sustained cold - it was oscillating in the runs, and I don't see any reason to think that is not the case going forward - less any reason to be disappointed. Also, any time it is 55-60 during Jan and Feb, the winter enthusiast would agree. Ha ha. Seriously, not sure what is meant by "this would have been", either way. On the contrary, during the first 10 days of any given October, winter weather enthusiasts need take it as a great sign that the resting state pattern appears to have gone back to more heights in western part of the continent. Should that parlay into Nov- Jan, there would be little hope of "this happening a few months from now".

andyhb
I'm bothering them because they are fine, you try to run the board, and are no fun and just yell at me. Plus they take the time to explain things, and I'm really getting to like Weatherfella, I believe he and I are one of a kind. Iffen it makes ya feel any better, I posted over on our loser forum, where everyone is yawning and pissing and moaning about the lack of weather except cold (one thing you and I agree on). So relax, have a great night, if they want me outta here, I will gladly leave. Plus they're funny. You're not. C'mon man...
powderfreak
Welcome to your winter. lol Snowing at the top of Mansfield this afternoon. No accums but employees have been reporting flurries and wind blown snow showers above 3500ft. Bodes well for a coating of snow overnight once better moisture moves in from SW NY. powderfreak
Wow look at the tree difference in WeatherMA's photos vs the Coventry one. Coventry has no leaves on any trees on Oct 30 while lower Worcester looks like it still had a great deal of foliage.
