Kevin Druff
Hmmm... I see Mapgirl holding off until January. Also, with a neutral ENSO, I predict Ji's fourth cancellation of winter will happen in late November. I like this forecast My forecast Dec,,,,Mapgirl will have a baby Jan....Ji will cancel winter for the 4th time during the season Feb...SNO will predict a blizzard for the second year in a row. March....whatever type winter we have will end.

usedtobe
Hmmm... I see Mapgirl holding off until January. Also, with a neutral ENSO, I predict Ji's fourth cancellation of winter will happen in late November. For Mapgirl I hope it's December. I probably should have had my call for January be Ji's 10th or more cancellation of winter.
Kevin Druff
You think it will take that long? I was only going to count starting October 1. I'm pretty sure we're already up to three if you go back to June 1.

I probably should have had my call for January be Ji's 10th or more cancellation of winter. ...Ahhh, but I see that you already have!

North Balti Zen
Bump, so people can see what the general thoughts were back in October. Looks like a lot of folks went warm for December, which may have been the right play...

mattie g
I don't know why I'm being somewhat serious with this, but here's my early-October guess: Temps: Dec: +2 Jan: -1 Feb: -1 Mar: -3 Snowfall: DCA: 9" IAD: 16" BWI: 12" I have a feeling we'll annoyingly see more sleet and freezing rain than we have in the last few years. I'm still OK with this guess. I have a feeling we might see a slightly warmer February though. I'm still thinking that spring will be delayed in March.
