Kevin Druff
This depends on what you consider "last". Is an 80* in January "last" or "first"?
RodneyS
Does anyone know what the earliest last 80-degree day is? I believe that the earliest last 80+ day of a calendar year in DC is September 8, 1876. The temperature that day was 88, but it never got to 80 the rest of the year. RodneyS
This depends on what you consider "last". Is an 80* in January "last" or "first"? I assume that he meant the last day of the calendar year, but FYI the temperature in DC has never reached 80 in January. The earliest in the calendar year is February 25, 1930, when the temperature reached 84.

Kmlwx
Really? Can you send it to me? I'll post it tomorrow! Wrong computer right now. It's pretty hard to discern in the video (hope you have super eyes on). I originally thought when I was watching it live that I had some floaters in my eyes or something but then I realized it was birds.

mattie g
As much as I like cold weather, ours have exploded, too, since it has gotten cooler. Tomatoes are growing like weeds. Yup. I topped and seriously pruned my plants last weekend to encourage them to ripen, but I still have upwards of 40 lbs. of tomatoes to pick, plus two plants full of jalapeños and a couple bells that need a little more time. Not liking this potential early freeze stuff.
