This depends on what you consider "last". Is an 80* in January "last" or "first"?

I assume that he meant the last day of the calendar year, but FYI the temperature in DC has never reached 80 in January. The earliest in the calendar year is February 25, 1930, when the temperature reached 84.

I'm glad that Fairfax County isn't in that freeze advisory - I have plenty of tomatoes and peppers that need a couple weeks to ripen. This bulls*** cold stuff can hold off for as long as it likes.

Agreed...although I'm under the watch. Who the heck wants to get under blankets every night? That's a morbid life. Bring back the 70s/80s! :sizzle:

As much as I like cold weather, ours have exploded, too, since it has gotten cooler. Tomatoes are growing like weeds.

Really? Can you send it to me?

I'll post it tomorrow! Wrong computer right now.

It's pretty hard to discern in the video (hope you have super eyes on). I originally thought when I was watching it live that I had some floaters in my eyes or something but then I realized it was birds.

Yup. I topped and seriously pruned my plants last weekend to encourage them to ripen, but I still have upwards of 40 lbs. of tomatoes to pick, plus two plants full of jalapeños and a couple bells that need a little more time.

Not liking this potential early freeze stuff.
