Brick Tamland
Should have known the chance of seeing some snow here from this would go down this morning. I guess there is still time for the models to change, but it seems like the same old song.

Brick Tamland
This storm is far from the "same old song." True. The storm itself is unlike anything we have ever seen. I am talking about the chances of seeing snow diminishing with the model runs as we get closer to the event.
shaggy
Worst case scenario for me. Bunches of rain and very nothing special in the wind department. If I can't get a 60mph gust I don't want anything to do with this storm.

That right there should tell you it was pretty unlikely to verify.
Brick Tamland
Seems people are all over the place with this storm. Some saying it won't be much of a big deal, and others saying it is the biggest storm ever.

jburns
I'm just gonna leave this here... I love XKCD I remember that well as it occurred. Often storms that appear where they shouldn't manage to maintain themselves far longer than conditions should allow. There is a reason for both. We just do not know what the reasons are. Suncat
Pretty much a boring weather day in the Triangle. Overcast with breezy conditions and very little in the way of rain. The leaves, however, were falling and starting to pile up in the yard. I should have a five to six inch leaf accumulation when this is all over with. HKY18
Just was thinking how historic this storm is really gonna be. Who would've thought we could have a landfalling hurricane, phase with a powerhouse PJ to create a beast. It's like a 384hr gfs solution that's actually gonna happen. Pretty epic! WeatherNC
T-minus 31 seconds: At this moment in the countdown, if there are no technical issues, the "go" command will be given for "auto sequence start," which means that the Ground Launch Sequencer will hand off primary control of the countdown to the shuttle's onboard computers .
