turtlehurricane
28F this morning...Sandy's clouds never made it this far west...although they are right on my doorstep...winds out of the N around 10mph... 35 °F this morning with winds gusting up to 25 mph, which corresponds to wind chills in the low 20s. Crazy that we're feeling gusty winds from Sandy so far west.
daddylonglegs
It'll be interesting if these clear skies hold out today with Sandy so close by... Looking at the trees, it looks like winds are picking up a little more. Going to be a very chilly day if they do blow hard. Think if this happened 2 months from now...we'd be talking hard S FL freeze.
Geos
41° here at the 11 o'clock hour. Wind gusts have been around 40mph in the last couple hours. Sandy's clouds have completely taken over the skies this morning. Happy Birthday Beast!

daddylonglegs
Still not much going on here... This coming weekend looks like a washout if the GFS is right Maybe even some snow on Sun??
wisconsinwx
Still not much going on here... This coming weekend looks like a washout if the GFS is right Maybe even some snow on Sun?? Snow in parts of the NW half of Wisconsin looks quite likely, perhaps a broad brushed 1-4" in some of that area. Not conviced it will make it down into the central part and likely not the southern part of the state.

Trent
Interesting to note the extreme variation between precip at CLE and DTW, the two locales are only 95 miles apart. CLE has a 15 inch yearly advantage on DTW, and a 12 inch advantage since the start of meteorological fall. CLE PRECIPITATION (IN) MONTH TO DATE 8.91 SINCE SEP 1 16.47 SINCE JAN 1 38.44 DTW PRECIPITATION (IN) MONTH TO DATE 2.25 SINCE SEP 1 4.72 SINCE JAN 1 23.

pondo1000
Hopefully we can finally amp up the pattern this month. Does anyone know how Columbus, OH is going to come in temp wise for the month? I am guessing slightly below avg?
Geos
Made it to 31° this morning. Kinda cloudy still, and cooler than this time yesterday at 40°. Tonight is supposed to be the hard freeze, low 28°.
cyclone77
Even though it seems like forever since we had any weather action around this immediate area, we actually did pretty good for the month precip wise. Ended up with a little over 3". Most of that fell on the 13-14th. Overall though a pretty benign month.
