I think Sauvkille will have near 100 inches of snow this year :)

Down to 25F this morning, maybe colder... By far the coldest of the season. Ton of thick frost.

Turtle-

Never fun without a good riot. Looks like Florida really cools off behind Sandy. I see the winds have turned NW in Miami. She's looking nice this morning.

Haven't seen any snowflakes yet, but it's getting increasingly cloudy. I'm noticing some radar returns by downtown Milwaukee.

Made it to 33° this morning, before clouds moved back in around 2am.

is your birdbath still froze?

No, it thawed out yesterday afternoon! lol

Pretty soon I'll have to put that away so that ice doesn't bust it apart!

Holding steady in the mid 40s this afternoon with a definite wind chill!

12z European wanting to put a whopper of a storm on the East Coast next weekend. The GFS not as bullish.

You gotta hand it to the Euro. Look at the date stamp on that. Yeah, it may be a few hours too early in Central Pennsylvana, but for 8 days notice, not too shabby.

Very impressive for the Euro.

Hot linking FTL on Hoosier's post, but the below was the GGEM from the same day. My response gives some detail...but not too shabby for the Canadian either, even if it may have been a bit too far south of the actual/eventual landfall.

Sorry, I gotta post this biggrin.png

High wind warnings galore.

954 via these maps BTW: http://meteocentre.c...hh2=180&fixhh=1

Storm ends up moving northwest from DC to south of YYZ, still sub 980. Impressive.

I remembered that I saved that image, not too shabby either:

Should finish the month about -1.5F for the month...precip above normal (finally). Time of the year that record highs plummet...the next couple are right around 80f, but they tumble the first week of Nov all the way back into the 60Fs on a few days...

Turtle-

Dew point down in Miami is at 51F/// temp 62F... Got to be the coldest since last spring. Coconut palms probably have jackets on santa.gif

Sep-Oct 2012 the first back to back below normal months at IND since Dec 2010-Jan 2011.

Finished my final de-gardening/clean up of my garden a little bit ago. Winds are howling...38mph gust at LAF last hour. Of course, it's all relative to what's going on out east...and will go on.

Absolutely brutal awful day to be outside. Did some construction work outside today Winds were ridiculous... nonstop drizzle light rain temps around 40 wind chill has to be around 30 & lower. Today is making those 100 degree days we had July to work outside paradise!

Can see sandy's high clouds on the eastern horizon, and the mid-level clouds over Iowa on the western horizon. Winds are nearly calm here, nice day. Should get a few 25-30mph gusts tomorrow morning here, but other than that sandy leaves this area entirely alone. Hopefully the western lakes and Midwest get some action later this month. Kind of feels like last October when the northeast got pounded with a major storm while we watched to the west. It's our turn dammit!! guitar.gif
