we haven't even got an inch.

so much for the total washout weekend. any rains of consequence have been over today and yesterday by 8- 9am.. yeah i'm not counting on anything from the deformation. cancelled outdoor activities both days thanks to the models and mke office. f weather.

0.79" total since midnight brings us up to 1.34" storm total. More convective showers have pushed off to the east, so whatever we get from here on out will come from the incoming deformation band. Winds have gone fairly calm here, as the surface low is very close by. Should get some 40mph gusts later this afternoon after the low passes by.

Yeah I cancelled outdoor activities as well. Could have done some things outside between widely scattered showers -even if it is damp out. Just had a windy rain squall go through - providing a little action this morning.

Bowme, adding in what they received in the first six hours to yesterday's total, Milwaukee did get just over an inch, the northern suburbs probably more like 1.5 inches. Could have been worse, but I understand your lament.

Yeah 1.02" I missed adding in the first .10" some how. where the heck is mke pulling 1.56" out of. Geos secretly works there? :P

Had a nice Tues-Fri up north, though for the most part it felt like mid-late November, not early-mid October! Took TONS of pics and also got to see the first snowflakes since April! Didnt see really any sun Tue-Thu, but the colors were so spectacular it didnt matter. Rain showers hit most of northern MI off and on but on Wednesday when I went hiking to Tahquamenon Falls, the rain showers turned to sleet/snow at the Falls! Had downright moderate wet snow at times, even leaving a slush of 0.1-0.3" on parts of the grass/leaves (snow, sleet, grauple). Will post pics in the coming days. I noticed that color was at peak in most of northern MI though pretty much getting past peak in the higher elevations, yet on Mackinac Island color was maybe 30-40% (and on either peninsula once you got away from the water color was at or slightly past peak).

BTW, had 0.10" of rain imby when I was up north, and then 0.64" last night.

2.5" so far in Madison at the airport, rain is nowhere near over. Cold front came through and dropped the temp from 63 to 50.

Low has intensified to 996 mb and is between Davenport and Rockford though quickly sliding NE following jet forcing. Low level frontogenesis is increasing significantly over southern Wisconsin which should help increase rainfall.

1.05" of rain through 4pm or so. Some backlash rains still to come yet. :)

Backyard pond is at its highest level since late March!

Edit: Wind and driving rain for the last 25 minutes here. Probably picked up another quarter inch.
