It was heavier than drizzle up by me, and now a solid high end moderate rain thanks to a thin band of showers/embedded thunder moving NE.

you made me look at the radar when you posted steady light rain.... i was expecting to see a decent coverage on radar but it was next to empty....you geos me.

nice hit of rain for north of me in MKE. as out of 9 times out of 10 i get cawked.

Sorry to pile it on, but it was heavy enough to cause me to lose satellite signal for DirecTV for a few minutes. Of course, satellites are extremely sensitive to heavy rain, even if there is little lightning/wind involved.

Nice..

Close call on the euro.. low over geos could put the best totals just n/nw of us. we need aleks south call to start showing its face. Hopefully we can at least scrap out 2" total...

Wind all last week and a rainout weekend.. what a way to trash the epic foliage we had going.

I got almost a half inch of rain overnight(on top of the 0.90" from yesterday), so this is already the heaviest rain event of the year. Another nice spoke within the deformation band is moving in now. This rain is very efficient as it's raining fairly hard right now even with only dark green and a few tiny dots of yellow on radar over my location. Obviously, those GFS and NAM runs that suddenly shifted the defo band south of Iowa about 36 hours ago were junk.

0.4" so far in part 2, 1.2" total when you add the 0.8" from yesterday. Pouring rain at the moment and we're just on the SE edge of the band, still have to go through the entire thing as it pushes slowly east.

997 mb low centered over Cedar Rapids, expected to trek over Milwaukee in the next few hours.
