Tonight might end up being what last night should've been. Doesn't necessarily mean a frost, but many temps near or below freezing in the region is a good bet.

Things could get below freezing quick, winds just starting to decouple now and dewpoints in the teens. Western suburbs of Madison down to 40 °F. Rochelle, IL has plummeted to 32 °F... http://mesowest.utah.edu/cgi-bin/droman/time_chart.cgi?&stn=KRPJ&unit=&month1=10&day1=07&year1=2012&hour1=19&min1=35&timeout=0000&past=1&time=LOCAL&graph=t&gsize=1&gauto=1&gmin=&gmax=&linetype=colorline&timeaxis=1

Uh yeah...over MO and KS. Let's see if it slows down a bit (I.E. to put these areas in a more interesting position on Sunday).

Highest threat area certainly looks farther west at this point...maybe getting into the western parts of this subforum. Farther east, the timing looks about as unfavorable as can be but there still several days for that to possibly adjust. Also may be dealing with a narrowing warm sector which would keep things in a smaller area.

Really like the wind fields being progged. Pretty classic fall storm.
