Analog96
It was. Just based on climo alone, the chance of getting two winters in a row THAT warm has to be close to zero.

PhineasC
With the way those guys grade their forecasts if we get +1 each month with 25 inches of snow they will give themselves a high B+/A because they "got the right side of the departure" and "snowfall is a crapshoot." Midlo Snow Maker
Enjoy! 5" total for DCA. Dec:+1 to +2 in temps Jan and Feb: +4 to +5 Wow that's crazy
mitchnick
with the Euro, CFS and CFS2 all showing average temps around here for DEC-FEB and JAMSTEC a little BN, I think way above or below normal calls that verified would amount to nothing more than the blind squirrel analogy
MDstorm
Enjoy! 5" total for DCA. Dec:+1 to +2 in temps Jan and Feb: +4 to +5 Looks like KA has resorted to forecasting in retrospect. This forecast looks pretty good for the winter of 2011-12. MDstorm
Bob Chill
After 12/15 please! Just like weddings, blizzard babies begin life with a legacy, a story, something more interesting and exciting than 50 degrees and drizzle. I have a hunch u are secretly hoping for a 12/19/09 redux on 12/15/12. Am I honestly wrong?

Kevin Druff
Glad I am not the only one who doesn't want to deal with snow on that particular day! When my son was born (Jan. 2011), it was FREEZING. The worst part was the "bed" for the dads in the hospital room was right next to the window. Which meant I had a draft all night. Not pleasant, especially when I already had a headache from lack of food.
WxUSAF
I am maybe 80/20 no/yes snow on the due date right now My son's due date was Feb 8, 2010. I was the only fool out there on my street on the 5th, 6th, 9th and 10th shoveling in a blizzard.
