Mr Torchey
61 balmy degrees, upton continues with ridiculously warm overnights and days this week here, should be around +8 or so by the end of week one..........as expected. Also looking forward to the chill down next week, the beauties of fall in new england, looks like another warmup towards the end of the month into November as the flow becomes more zonal. Mr Torchey
Seems like the Euro continues to stumble somewhat... this would have been a big deal a few months from now.

I can tell you right now, I've had more success second guessing euro QPF. The one thing I will say, is that the euro will probably be correct for Thursday, whereas the GFS was blasting a front through and giving me 80s. But the euro QPF for whatever reason has done weird things. So good in some ways..not so good in others. It's usually the cold season where it shines more. That is strange, could it have to do with its higher resolution? but I guess that would not make sense unless it was more convective. Hmmm GFS has improved in my opinion. Gradient battle royale this week and perhaps beyond!

CoastalWx
Scooter..you think any of that rain in Pa makes it to NE CT? Not really during the day. There may be more elements tonight, but the main action today is further west. It may be worth watching the stuff west of Philly. It is possible it may try to extend east as the day moves on. When they tweak models instead of calling them upgrades they should call them downgrades because that's what seems like happens every time they perform one

CoastalWx
When they tweak models instead of calling them upgrades they should call them downgrades because that's what seems like happens every time they perform one That might be a bad perception thing. These upgrades have been good overall. The GFS upgrade seemed to work and the Euro still leads the pack overall in height scores last I checked. The euro may have been too aggressive with warm air advection ont he 12z run yesterday, that's all.
CoastalWx
How are the euro ensembles looking for the next 2 weeks? No real change from yesterday. The pattern still looks to relax a little heading past mid month, but still has a trough in the east verbatim.
