H2Otown_WX
I understand, the Euro had many phantom snowstorms last winter, I guess if you ran the numbers its still king, but it has had its share of defeats lately, the GFS is certainly improving. Indeed it did. Here's one of 'em:
moneypitmike
Manged to get close to the 30's (40.3) at 4:30 this morning, since then though, I've suddenly jumped up to 44/40. Not sure why that happened. Maybe tonight.

Damage In Tolland
Does the MJO look like its going into a favorable phase for troughing in the midwest and ridging of the west coast?

Mr Torchey
Compared to last year at this time we are down 14.69 inches and roughly 4.5 below average.
CoastalWx
Well AWT, that s/w will probably cause a few clouds and some showers as it moves through.

CoastalWx
Compared to last year at this time we are down 14.69 inches and roughly 4.5 below average. And that meant nothing last winter.
Mr Torchey
Well AWT, that s/w will probably cause a few clouds and some showers as it moves through. Time for the footlocker refs to go, I argued the point two weeks ago, now people are listening, billion dollar business with fake refs. Just awful, not there fault, Goodytwoshoes needs to take action today. Tough loss last night, refs blew it.
Mr Torchey
And that meant nothing last winter. Winter? Its September, just pointing out how dry it is compared to last year and to normal. Oh I see, Jerry was comparing it to winter, meh I would look over the midwest and upper plains for drought conditions more so than our own back yard. I just don't think that it means anything right now. Maybe if November is warm and dry I would be concern, but I think things are ok.
dendrite
Refs didn't blow that game for us, though. Yeah...can't blame the zebras. Pats had chances to close it out and didn't.
CoastalWx
30 penalties? That game could have ended with 1 first down in the final drive, or if Devin McCourty just held an int that went into his hands twice. Another corner had a meatball lobbed to him and tripped over himself..lol. Both sides had crazy calls...I don't think they were one sided. But I agree, they are getting annoying. Anyways, looks like the GEFS cut back on the troughing and the EC is a little less ridge happy here. Still mild though.
CoastalWx
Logan can't buy a low below 51..lol.
ORH_wxman
Yeah looks like the EC ensembles and GEFS sort of went toward eachother some in the long range. Euro ensembles aren't as mild and GEFS aren't as cold. Should be interesting to see what happens
