Should be fun to watch in the winter... but some of the DEP AirNow air quality monitoring stations are now part of the MADIS data set.

There's a sensor at the summit of Mohawk Mountain around 1600 feet.

The elevation listed on the mesowest site is incorrect. Here's the actual site info... http://www.ct.gov/dep/cwp/view.asp?a=2684&q=322026&depNav_GID=1744

Poor Kevin :( another site higher than him in the state.

That's pretty close to my house, and there have been times I've gone up there and seen at least 2-3 feet OTG when my house barely has any cover. It's pretty cool.

Do the Ens support the cold and possible snow event the op has around the 1-2nd?

Snow event on the OP? Lol don't see anything like that there.

The ensembles don't look at cold as the OP around then...but they kind of hint that high pressure to the northeast could be holding in some cooler air.

This is probably an historic snow event for the Upper Midwest/Plains depicted on the long-range GFS:

Won't happen but the GFS is being stubbornly consistent with that AK block.

Oh Man, This is great Long Term GFS viewing has begun.

AK block would be nice in OCT. Anything that can bring cold rain and possible Higher terrain snow. Just as long as we can still get a great Color wave with the foliage!
