Kmlwx
has dca reported snow accum yet? i dont see it in the metars. Maybe they are expanding their heating plate so that everything just gets recorded as rain.
Terpeast
has dca reported snow accum yet? i dont see it in the metars. http://www.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KDCA.html (time sensitive) 0.10 liquid as of 12:52 (an hour ago). Should be an inch, or more by now. But then again, this is DCA...
smokeybandit
Maybe they are expanding their heating plate so that everything just gets recorded as rain. So that's where the snowfall guy that BWI fired after last year ended up?

mappy
about a half inch where I work on the west side of Baltimore City. Commute home is going to be aweful, Friday was a mess from only a coating west of town. Any obs from Carroll County? Don't know if you get any radio stations in your office... 1090AM is WBAL's radio station, they do traffic every 10 minutes. I've heard Carrol County mentioned a few times. WBAL Traffic is another site you can go to...
jonjon
Snowing pretty hard out here for a while. Much bigger flakes. Eyeballing 2-3" so far. NWS has upped total amounts here to 4-6". Nice to see some normal snow.
Stormpc
Tapering off now, SW to NE. Probably get into a more scattered snow showery climate as we head toward nightfall. Maybe the WV energy can pop east, but not holding my breath.

mitchnick
in fact, the flakes remind me a lot of the 12/5/07 clipper (I should wash my mouth out w/soap, I know)
Ian
in fact, the flakes remind me a lot of the 12/5/07 clipper (I should wash my mouth out w/soap, I know) it's a pretty similar event here thus far.. the superband saved us late with accum calls for that one. we're already in range though so i guess we dont need it this go around. hopefully the rest of the winter doesnt follow.
