Al lanes covered with tracks by gaithersburg. Beltway not too bad. Conneccticut ave is wet sb but covered nb in chevy chase. Overall not a fun experience. We need to bump the rates up.
SomeguyfromTakomaPark
Looks great here in NW DC. Steady light snow with all surfaces covered and some better echoes about to roll through. Reminds me a lot of the first few hours 1/30/10.

Ian
Ian, I wonder if that moisture in West VA will cross the mountains? it should in some fashion.. that should be the tail of the 500 energy -- think we stay in snow toward dark at least maybe a bit longer
das
Should be some decent lift and RH through the snow growth zone. Nothing extremely heavy, but I think it could possibly be mdt during that time. Right on queue, good banding setting up in S. Frederick and N. MoCo starting at noon. Good call. Stormpc
Eyeballing an inch accumulation here. Decent rates the past 30 mins. The smaller dendrites are slipping through the blades of grass.
