Just drove from hagerstown to cleveland park (nw dc). Snow started in frederick, 270 qas covered with a flipped car by urbana. Al lanes covered with tracks by gaithersburg. Beltway not too bad. Conneccticut ave is wet sb but covered nb in chevy chase. Overall not a fun experience.

we could use some rates but progressing nicely... most sidewalks/roads are just wet after treatment.

Yeah it's having trouble sticking to the road here (it was treated the other day after the coating). We need to bump the rates up.

Ian, I wonder if that moisture in West VA will cross the mountains?

it should in some fashion.. that should be the tail of the 500 energy -- think we stay in snow toward dark at least maybe a bit longer

Should be some decent lift and RH through the snow growth zone. Nothing extremely heavy, but I think it could possibly be mdt during that time.

Right on queue, good banding setting up in S. Frederick and N. MoCo starting at noon. Good call.
