Mallow
This snow (and the associated wet-bulbing) is salvaging my forecast from the brink of disaster.
H2Otown_WX
This snow (and the associated wet-bulbing) is salvaging my forecast from the brink of disaster. Nothing could save mine from disaster. Had a low of 29 and a high (for some stupid reason) of 37. Looking forward to Tuesday, should be fun out ahead of the front.
blazess556
Right now, final winds for Day 4 are 10 knots. However, the 5:22 and 10:00 pm climo reports both show 11 knots and the final climo report around 1 am shows 12 knots. So i think the winds should be 12 knots for day 4. Thunder Road
Gven how much temps over-performed out here today (70 at ORD, and that's not even the final number yet!), I went a bit ballsy for tomorrow with 70/45/20/0.45" The real question is does the daily min occur right after 6z tonight or right before 6z tomorrow? Given that they were already down to 40 at 0z (18z NAM had them at 49 for 0z), my guess is that we end up lower than expected tonight, and not as cool as expected tomorrow night. But we'll see. ma blizzard
interesting forecast tomorrow for sure .. already down to 39 at 8pm, temp should start rising within the next couple hours (hopefully)? 68/43/18/0.
Dsnowx53
I was going to go warmer, but in some spots, low level cold has been a bit more stingy, and I was afraid that they weren't going to get to the upper 40s by 6z. Current temperatures have been much colder than what MOS was indicating. So I went 67/45/16/0.
wxmeddler
Rushing for finals and a major project + weekend = Forgot to forecast = Guidance. Dang, I was in the top 200 too!
heavy_wx
I went 68/44/24/.21. I think the moderate SSW winds may aid in downsloping and bump up tomorrow's high temperature.
ctsnowstorm628
Currently 65 in the country overall cumulative. 151 in KSYR. Went 69/47/19/0.37 tomorrow.
Mallow
Obv the fact that they haven't gotten the warm front yet is disconcerting. Will probably have to settle for a 44F low or thereabouts.

Chrisrotary12
Tonight's forecast is an interesting one huh? When does the front go through? What is the temperature at 6Z?
Dsnowx53
Tonight's forecast is an interesting one huh? When does the front go through? What is the temperature at 6Z? Yeah, I'm really unsure myself. And how quickly does the temperature drop? MOS was way too cool today and I feel like the MOS is "catching up" to latest OBS, but once the front goes through, does it really matter that MOS is clearly lagging behind the warmth? The MOS is weighted towards climatology so that was probably why it under-forecast today's high.

Thunder Road
My 70 call was pretty good for today, so once the precip adds up, I should be in a pretty good place. Went 50/28/21/0.04 for tomorrow. FROPA timing is the big ? for me too.
Thunder Road
And that wraps up a very good Day 5 for me, and puts me 1st at Valpo, and 11th nationally. And I'm still waiting on the obligatory bump in winds from the climo report.

Thunder Road
Kinda scared about the low tomorrow, but I went high, too. 39/27/11/0 RAP/HRRR indicating a low-level cloud deck sticking around until at least 10z (and holding true so far, still overcast and 30 F at 5 z), combined with this city's tendency (except for one day) to bust high on lows, made me go with 27. Seeing the consensus at 23 certainly scared me though.
Mallow
Well they managed to clear out at the last possible minute and find 26. Hopefully that's the extent of their cooling potential.
