Ya, the temperature is not increasing very fast at all. Ugh.

If we can manage 68°F, it won't hurt me too bad. If we can somehow manage 69°F, even better. But below 68°F will hurt me pretty bad.

It's frustrating because they have the core of +5C 700 mb temps. right over them but they're socked in. I guess the 22z USL is just a prophet.

kbil was an absolute disaster for me. Day after day I couldn't nail down the winds or the low temperatures. I was thinking 70 today with good downsloping, but the high clouds really did the damage with that. Thank god this is the last day.

I went 68/41/23/0.00 and so far as of 20Z 61/42/19/0.00.............Currently puts me at 112th in the country. ctsnowstorm and myself currently sit ahead the rest of the Cat 3 forecasters at Lyndon.... I am ahead of my professor which is very nice! Hoping to finish in the top 100!

We better get a higher high and higher winds before midnight. :P

Well we've finally got "scattered" high clouds instead of "broken" high clouds so maybe we can still salvage a few degrees. But we're running out of time :(

And yeah I really thought the big downsloping flow would help keep things a bit less cloudy and make it windier, as well. But in hindsight, I feel dumb for not predicting the high clouds.

Based on surrounding stations (from wunderground) which also showed a little dip around 4PM, the temperature should be back up (probably 65F or 66F) by 5PM.

EDIT: Still 63F. Grrrr... Looks like I'm dropping to 60th place at Billings.

Looks like those of you that went 16 or so on the wind are in good shape. Plenty of hourly obs. where they have gusted > 20 mph would lend one to believe the climo report would have something like 16 or 17 kts. High nudged to 81 as the clouds stayed just west. I guess they are mostly cloudy now though.
