moneypitmike
Everybody's is. Relatively speaking, no one lives out here. lol. Franklin County's pop. is only 72K over 700+ sqaure mi. and 17K of that is in Greenfield. I've been amazed at all the new places I've been to since we moved out here. My daughter's going to have her First communion this year. Looks like she's the only second grade kid in the parish. The good news is that they said we can pretty much decide what weekend we want to do it. 2.81"

CoastalWx
lol no thunder until now and the line is already threw here Sometimes the thunder post frontal is due to the air still rising at a slant...into the ice layer where charge separation occurs. In other words, the heaviest downpours still did not really get into the charge separation area and ideal lightning temp range of -10 to -20C or so. Usually with strong srly flow...as the line moves east, the air is still rising up and over to the NW. It's sometimes called the relative wind. Sugarloaf1989
The line of heavy rain just moved through my hood with some brief heavy downpours and no thunder/lightning. Hopefully we get the 1-2" of rain forecast as we could use it.
Ginx snewx
Yeah agree. I was referring to Steve's comment yesterday. My comment was highest interior winds were Pete to MPM to PF? Lots of 50 cs and some 60 s in that zone. You guys said breezy.

CT Rain
Tide and surge just coming into New London now. Watching the tides online site. You have links to the pics? Surge about a foot in NL. I'm guessing there will be some good splash over NL to Stonington as high tide approaches. Worst winds missed high tide across central and western sound. The video I saw on channel 8 was from this early afternoon high tide, water came into the neighborhoods and stayed much of the afternoon with the south winds keeping the water from escaping back into the sound

Not really destructive stuff with only a foot or so of surge but can definitely close roads.
