Damage In Tolland
Good thing about the line is it's ahead of schedule..so no lost sleep..Either it gives us gusts to 60 or it underperforms..Either way..we can get to sleep on time

hammerz_nailz
I noticed before dark we must have 40 maybe even 50 leaves down on our 1/2 acre front yard. The excessive damage is probably due to our relatively high elevation (700 feet or so) here in Coventry.

wxsniss
Check out the NYC metro thread if you want to know what to expect from that line. Don't get your hopes up though... 7/26, 9/8, others I can't remember... the more-bark-than-bite theme for lines crossing SNE is not new this season

ORH_wxman
Well many of us have gusted to 45 or higher so far I haven't seen many gusts over 45mph yet. There's been several reports flirting with it and one report (MQE at 46 knots) that got comfortable over 45mph. BDR has been bouncing off 45-47mph for a few hours now too. I suspect there will be a few more over the next few hours as we increase the LLJ...but I think the advisory should be adequate...high wind criteria will probably be tough to come by. Places like MQE though will probably pull it off.
