Yes where MPM Pete are is. AWT.

Fixed, Shelburne where MPM is does not generally get the high winds. Obviously something with the topography of the hills cuts into the wind potential from there all the way to Dave in Hubbardston. Me being at a few hunderd feet can only look up at the clouds rushing by and wonder what I'm missing down here. lol

Is it me or does it look like the winds are slowly backing off their peaks just a little while ago?

Those gusts do not seem as high as they were.

The rain has actually been pretty good here today - the 3/10's or so has not been too hard so it has soaked in.

Yeah agree. I was referring to Steve's comment yesterday.

Confused...Cummington is near there...is it really elevated?

Cummington has some good elevations. It is a good bit S of where MPM is. 10 - 15mi. Different county even. Much closer to Pete.

If you look at the lay of the land MPM (and Greenfield for that matter) have high hills to the W and E where as Cummington only has higher hills to the W. That has got to have a lot to do with it.

Thanks, Chris

My knowledge of that part of the state is thin

Everybody's is. Relatively speaking, no one lives out here. lol. Franklin County's pop. is only 72K over 700+ sqaure mi. and 17K of that is in Greenfield.

I've been amazed at all the new places I've been to since we moved out here.
