ORH_wxman
A lot of these numbers are off imo. Google terrain and topozone are pretty good. Yeah lot of these programs are not exact. There error associated with a lot of these is about 10m which is roughly 30 feet of course.
amarshall
I'm calling shenanigans. My location in Quincy is saying 26'. I'm 2 blocks from the beach with no seawall. I am not 26' more like 2.6 ft.

Baroclinic Zone
The weenie spot I tell you guys about near Rt 6 is 790, I have pics where they have 8 new while I had 2, size matters. Is that right by Margaret Henry Rd?

I am not 26' more like 2.6 ft. Was that surf last night from Leslie not Michael, Michael was way way east. I had a ball Monday with some decent overheads, breaking way out so i had long rides to the beach, did not need flippers either, little bummed as the swells were half what I expected but good way to end the year. Water cooling quickly though.
Cold Miser
How come elevation to you guys is like saying my weenie is bigger than yours? I get a kick out of it. Jealous that you can't join the discussion? (Who am I kidding with the whopping 400'. It's not like I'm getting nosebleeds when I wake up in the morning like Pete with his altitude.) Ginx snewx
Is that right by Margaret Henry Rd? yes about 1/2 mile off RT 6 right at Saw Mill rd. There are lots for sale on flat ground, very tempted. Perfect weenie spot.
GaWx
This isn't accurate. It has my address in Savannah at 59 feet when it really is only ~25 feet. That's a pretty big miss when considering that virtually nowhere near there is over 40 feet.

Ginx snewx
Besides Kevs boasting and Scooter bumming about his 10 feet, not seeing anyone bragging about elevation, folks are just pointing out the inaccuracy of this website, so lets not make it seem that way. Cold Miser
you are in the best spot in Brooklyn though Right. Should be great for my wife while she's here getting burried and I'm over in Rockland or Orange County NY getting rained on during the week. At least I may be able to come home to snow on weekends. ORH_wxman
How far off? Its about 35 feet off. Its a little over 1,000 there. The lower part of the runway on the east side is about 987 feet but that is not where the terminal is. 970 is too low anywhere on the field. Yea not seeing what Scooter is talking about with the size stuff but Powderfreak is writing a war and peace novel, we will find out soon. powderfreak
790ft... that's pretty accurate. Work it has as 1,485ft though which is low based on numerous survey maps we have in mountain operations... should be 1,520ft or so.
Ginx snewx
What sort of concerns? HM, on 10 September 2012 - 01:58 PM, said: Yeah being the most east will help out in an El Niño December. If we don't get a strong enough El Niño, suddenly years like 1951-52 and 1953-54 (not a true El Niño per MEI) start showing up...yikes. My other worry in terms of snow will be for the northern New England mountains. It could be another lackluster year for snowfal
Cold Miser
Yikes. I will keep you posted. what town, elevation? size matters Not sure yet. Woodbury in Orange county looks nice as I'm having a few issues with Monroe. Also a few places in Rockland, which looks to be a serious snow hole. Just an apartment for me right now for weekdays. There is some nice elevation, but mostly state park type stuff - Ramapo Mountains, etc.
