C'Mon down MPM. You can leave the shawl at home.

When I was a young kid growing up in New London, I'd go there with my best friend and his family each year. Had a great time. I remember we'd each have $5 to do whatever we'd choose. One of the things they had were helicoptor rides for $5 (think you could find that today? lol). Each year he and I would ponder whether to spend our whole allowance on that. Invariably, we wouldn't--the memories are still clear in my mind though.

69 with a stiff nw wind is anything but late summer weather to me...looks like a below avg day at bdr....

Tim, you should really back your statements up with facts. Normal high is 75, forecast high from NWS upton Ny is 77, its another above normal day, but please keep trolling me with lies, I enjoy it.

A near normal high with dews falling into the 40s during the afternoon and gusty NW winds doesn't scream "summer like" to me either, but regardless, it will be a beautiful day for anything outdoors.

Well if its late summer, and the temp is near normal or above, how is that not late summer weather, I am confused Brian? I believe the weather today fits the bill for the season if its normal or above?

Did another 5k this morning, pretty chilly with the wind around 7am....great early fall weather...people not exactly flocking to the beach with this stiff wind

Chamber of Commerce day

Definitely not COC up here...

We've got occasional showers (squally like, wind driven rain out of the NW), some briefly but surprisingly heavy, low clouds, and a temp around 50F at 1,500ft at the ski resort.

Classic climo NW-flow CAA weather... Another two months and its snow squalls instead of rain showers/wind.
