September banter/boredom thread

I'll just jump on here and say that if the last several runs of the GFS verified (especially today's 12z) there will be a LOT of smiles from Minnesota all the way to the east coast at the end of September. Never seen a pattern so consistently locked in and hopefully it verifies because it would be one heck of a start to fall with absolutely not a torch anywhere.

How's the foliage progressing?

Just some subtle hints here.

Moving along--expect in another week visitors will enjoy.

COC, pic of Museum Terrace, new turf going in the big light brown spots Monday. The dark brown spots, gardens, were cleaned out yesterday except for the herb garden. This is all roof by the way.

Neat shot, Steve.

Cloudy, dreary, and cool.

Coming up on 1pm and we aren't moving much for a temp. May not make it out of the 50s today if we stay with this low drizzling overcast.

Big difference in temps between who's upsloping with clouds and the downsloping sunny areas. Check out far N.NH where they are stuck near 50F...not going up much from there this afternoon.

Congrats. 64/46 here off a high of 65 half an hour ago.

Umm yeah... So this was in my basement this morning. The yellow ring neck snake made its way into the house. I had to put on rubber gloves, corner it and pick it up with a pair of tongs and whipped it into the woods. Just an awful experience

Classic. I remember having a 3' milk snake on my kitchen floor during our first winter at KPIT.

I don't think the seasons have anything to do with it. When the weather is quiet they release their afternoon updates early.

Did you get the leaves up before the snow fell?

Tim, you should really back your statements up with facts. Normal high is 75, forecast high from NWS upton Ny is 77, its another above normal day, but please keep trolling me with lies, I enjoy it.

High of 74 bdr...-1 off normal high...not trolling...you ask for facts...it is beautiful weather

I see a digging through spawning a low in the lower Plains. Aside from tapping into a bit of the Gulf, it doesn't look very tropical at all.

nice Cyclogenesis on a SW out of the prairies, hope to see lots of these this year, maturing as it hits the coast, late bloomer, a dumbfounded track.

Sure they do--it's length of day. Night starts two hours earlier.

No, but the upcoming 4-6" will keep them buried.
