radarman
36kt inbound, 36kt outbound. No warning? What a joke. Sig looked pretty good, but I think you should probably go easy here. While I like to see the symmetry, 72kt couplet isn't exactly a slam dunk.

earthlight
Those cells in SE PA may make a B-line towards NYC later? I was thinking the same thing...we've had bright sun here for 2 hours now as well. Once the forcing kicks east things could get really interesting. If we get any cells into the CT Valley they are going to take off quickly....that one supercell right now moving into HFD will head right into the valley and move up near Suffield. moneypitmike
Just as I am typing this, it has really become pouring buckets outside. It's a dreary day, and the temp has gone down to 72. Thank God we have great flood gauges. The dewpoint, however, has gone WAY up to 68. Ended up with a solid dose of heavy rain. East of me now, but ended up with .65" in about half an hour. Sun's out now. 68/
ChiWxWatcher
Ended up with a solid dose of heavy rain. East of me now, but ended up with .65" in about half an hour. Sun's out now. 68/68 Sun might be trying to poke out once again. 74/68. With that huge line of storms out in upstate NY, the next few hours should prove interesting. I am thinking the storms should arrive around 5-7 PM and strengthen due to increasing instability.
