Following a few heavy afternoon showers on October 4th an early evening hazy fog settled in resulting in this sublte yet beautiful early October scence near my home in Sparta, NW NJ! Rainshadow feel free to pm me if you would like to use this image.

That map looks pretty accurate to me. Was up in the Allentown area yesterday and trees definitely looked about 50%, much further along than here in Villanova. I'd say we're about 20% here, some trees with a lot of color but generally green.

Yeah, I'd guess roughly 30% IMBY. 2 weeks or so should bring plenty of color to areas not far from PHL.

Greetings!

Back from a week in the Poconos (Blakeslee/Long Pond/Lake Harmony area). The colors were definetely nearing peak. I took a ton of pictures which I hope to upload this weekend. (Edit: I accidently uploaded a handful into the banter thread instead of here).

By far, the best color I've seen in years.

Nice shots Brian. Must have been a great trip.

Few more from today

Wow! Your pictures are beautiful. Where was that from exactly?

I was really impressed by all the color (and beautiful places) I saw this week. The weather didn't cooperate Monday and Tuesday at all, luckily Wednesday cleared up in the Poconos by about noon and Thursday was bright and sunny.

We're heading up to Jim Thorpe tomorrow. Can't wait to see all the beautiful trees. I'll make sure to take some pictures and post them here.

Enjoy. You'll see plenty of color. If you get a chance, take Rt 903 north from Jim Thorpe up to Penns Peak (10-15 minutes). The color along Rt. 903 was stunning.

Salford Towhship, Ridge Valley Creek and Fulshaw Creag Preserve. These are back roads off of Ridge Valley Road.

There are so many areas to explore around here.

Cool. Not too far from Indian Valley Country Club. I've been up that way alot in the past. Amazing how places like that can go unknown by many.
