my back yard is in bad shape streets around here are flooded out and some water coming into the house. Been bailing water for about 2 hours.

Didn't you hope for this rain because of how "very much dry" it was? Not trying to make fun of you're situation, just saying be careful what you wish for.

Soooo many stupid drivers... Listening to the scanner now!

People are not bright.Edit: Just heard on the scanner "I'm sure you're aware but can you get pendot out here there is 4 feet of water and people are trying to drive through it." Not sure where it was but I had a good laugh when I heard that.

I did not even leave my house and it was very entertaining. At about

5 PM the storm passed a few miles away and I almost went after it to

look at the cloud formation. Things were busy and I stayed to look at

the radar some more. My friend from the AC Expressway which gave

me a report of the spinning storm which wrecked the Absegami HS

graduation in June had just called and was on his way home, asking

me of the weather up here. I mentioned a heavy rain producer with

some rotation near Paulsboro/Westville. He would get off early to avoid

the rain, but I called back 3 minutes later when the SVR was issued.

He then decided to follow the highway up to the storm. I mentioned that the

circulation was near where all the roadways meet, near Bellmawr. He

pulled off the highway near a church in Bellmawr and looked up into

the storm, which did have, from his view, a "spaceship" look to it. All

of a sudden, the spinning clouds descended all at once to the ground

from his report. He did not see a narrow funnel as such, but it could

have been inside of the low-level meso as it plunged downward. He

said it happened very fast, and managed to get a couple of phone pics,

but I'm sure some locals got some videos of it. A few passerby mentioned

to him in the parking lot "Did you just see that tornado"!?

It sounds like it may have been one as it crossed into Mt. Ephraim, with

trees down all over the place. The timing of the rapid meso lowering

was between 625 and 630, right around when the TOR was issued. It

becamed shrouded in rain after it passed Bellmawr, so it may still have

produced as it moved on. Anyway, I am excited that I vectored someone

right to the exact location of the event. He claims it's as close to a tornado

as he will ever get. Although he does want to wait for a confirmation first.
