definitely a have's and have not's situation the past couple days. You either get under a slow moving or training rain band or you get vitually nothing. My backyard has gotten 0.26" since Sunday began. I hope we can eek out an inch or so, but honestly do not want 3-5" some are getting. That's too much of a good thing.

this area is generally the same one that's been pwned a few times this summer. damn.

I noticed that as well, but didn't want to say anything due to sounding like a complainer.

As for here, we got another 0.54" to add to the 0.63" we got since the "event" started Sunday afternoon. Total from the start is 1.17".

So. I wonder what really happens today. As of now, the radar presentation looks crappy with heavier cells off shore of New Jersey, down in Alabama, and over Michigan and Missouri. In the middle of this ring of fire there isn't much to talk about.

According to HPC, the best QPF is now north and west of the forecast area:

Are the radar estimates from KDOX of 10-15 inches in ocean/burlington counties accurate or are the 6-8 on KDIX more accurate lol? Also I expected today to be the most rainy down here and I wake up and there is clear blue skies.

Usually the radar that is closer is more accurate.

To elaborate on that Mike, for Boch, it's usually bc the radar further away tend to to be a little zealous on the reflectivities.

That area has to have a 100" of rain this year...they've been smoked numerous times this year!?

Got Nailed with heavy rain here earlier 5.5 here total for the event this afternoon I got 1.5 inches in 20-30 mins and it caused this ponding on my street.

The rate it came down this afternoon was heavier then any rate during last years episodes of heavy rain.

Sun is now coming out in the city would not be surprised to see another round develop in the Baltimore area it is not going to take much sun with 2.1-2.2 PW values and impressive Theta E advection. also we still got nice instability.
