Allenson
Wow, super balmy out there this morning. So much so that it's cooler in the house than it is out and out windows are a bit fogged up this morning. Good to see my insulation and siding efforts are actually tightening up the house. Sitting at 68F this morning--the high for the 24 hour period. 0.56" in the can since yesterday morning.

powderfreak
I did notice a lot more leaves on the ground all the sudden from last nights downpours. A couple trees are almost bare and the leaves just went brown and fell off...signs of the dry growing season.

Allenson
Another murky foggy morn here. No rain yesterday other than some early morning drizzle. Heading over to Maine for a couple days--leaving this morning and back on Saturday. The forecast looks pretty good. A couple chances of showers but not too shabby on the whole.... borderwx
Picked up over 4" from the deluge. Lots of moisture for mother nature to work with this morning. powderfreak
60/60 and fogged in real good at least to 1200ft. Im not sure how high you have to go to pop out of it but my co-workers are going to enjoy one sweet view from up high on the mountain...the fog/undercast scene is one of my favorites. Awesome photo Borderwx...very similar here...and it's thick fog that's causing like a misty drizzle. So much moisture floating in the air.
borderwx
the murk was extra shifty this AM PF, standing on the hill you could watch rolling through the low land. I'm with you, I love the undercast, feels like another world for a little while. one more, waiting for the dog to finish his rounds the fog rolled in around our house, the big tree island is our landmark. Bear Mt in the background.
ctsnowstorm628
Borderwx, those pics are sick. Cool little observation from LSC last night...at about 11pm radiation fog began to expand from the valley floor and the fog level was right at LSC..the top of the hill here on campus was in the clear (~1,100ft) while lower campus was socked in (~950ft). I was at about 1,020ft and could see the moon through a milky fog layer. Very cool sight for this city kid from CT
tamarack
Dense fog at my place this morning, as temp dropped to near 50. Total from yesterday was 1.84", not bad for 9 hr period (1-10 AM). BGR had 3.42", FVE nada. Sandy River was only slightly muddied, and had a modest rise to about 1,400 cfs - flood is about 20K. Fall mud season hasn't arrived yet for the loggers; be nice if it waited until after Columbus Day. Last year it came with Irene in August
adk
Some rumblings about the BTV area right now. SPC has a Severe T-Storm watch out. Shear values are in the high 30s with CAPE (100mb mixed layer) values around 1000. Certainly supportive of some severe weather.
mreaves
Some rumblings about the BTV area right now. SPC has a Severe T-Storm watch out. Shear values are in the high 30s with CAPE (100mb mixed layer) values around 1000. Certainly supportive of some severe weather. 45 miles southeast in Northfield we heard two rumbles just before getting out on the golf course. We waited the the requisite 30 minutes after the last rumble and played 9 in increasingly nice conditions, blue sky by the time we finished just after 7:00.
