calculus1
I've had 0.27 inch of rain since midnight after 0.43 inch yesterday. It's been pleasantly cool and CAD-ish (is that a word?) for a couple of days now as I didn't make it out of the 60s on either Sunday or Monday. It's getting me ready for winter. Let's hope we have many more CAD events in DJFM. I'm waiting on the potentially heavy rain later today...

Blue Ridge
.68" is my report, measured at 7am. Most of that fell overnight. Yesterday featured heavy rain developing south, dissipating over the mountains, and redeveloping to my north, giving the Tri-Cities a whallop (KTRI is up to 2.22" since noon yesterday). I expect today's rain to amount to much more, assuming frontal interaction does its job with the incredible moisture in the atmosphere.
dwagner88
5.48 officially. There will be a bit more to add to that later. We got pounded with very heavy rain most of the night.
mackerel_sky
You were correct.this was a very bad bust,in my opinion! I don't even see a low.just looks like a frontal band with .5 at very best.what a bummer This system is beginning to show signs of splitting around most of the Carolinas and GA with only southern and western GA seeing anything big with this. There is a major hole in the rain over central AL that is just getting bigger and bigger. Both the new Tornado watch and GSP's flood watch are going to bust badly. Met1985
Well over night and this morning we have really amped up the rain totals. So far we have gotten about 2 and a quarter inches and still pouring down. I thought this was going to be a bust also but these last 12 hours we have gotten a lot of rain. jshetley
Watch: A potential exists Warning: Imminent or occurring There were no warnings issued for the tornado watch last night but I'll admit I was wrong on the flood watch. It definetly did not bust and was well placed. Hopefully you can accept my apology. That's not the point. The potential was there. And actually, there were two storms in nrn Greenville Co. that we almost pulled the tor trigger on...not that a tor warning would have justified the TO.A issuance in the first place. Met1985
Wow today was spot on from the NWS. The rain just ended here in Haywood county with totals up to around 3.5 inches for a strom total. The river has risen a lot and the creeks are flowing with a lot of water currently. Today was very wet and cool day. Looks like our high today will be at 65 degrees with a lot of rain. calculus1
Awesome rain producer for MBY. I got 2.44 inches today with some heavy tropical downpours in the early afternoon. All together, from the last three days, I've accumulated 3.62 inches, storm total. That can't begin to compare to Rainforest's total, but I'm pretty happy with it. A great September event!
