We had some crazy dense fog outside of the city this morning! Love watching it on visible satellite! Yesterday morning was the coolest we have been since May 11th. Looking to get even cooler Monday morning with this next front! :D

Ya we had some very dense fog this morning here to. Had another low in the 40s, 48 degrees was the low and like you said this weekend and especially the end of the weekend looks very cool if not cold.

YES!!!

Fall Arrives on Saturday

Fall starts on Saturday September 22nd at 9:49 A.M. Central Daylight Time, or 8:49 A.M. Mountain Daylight Time. In the United States, and the rest of the northern hemisphere, the autumnal equinox corresponds with the sun crossing the celestial equator moving southward. The autumnal equinox signifies the first day of the autumn season.

Low was only down to 51 degrees but looks like another cold shot coming in today. Looking at things looks like the blocking pattern may break down a little but we need to watch the Southwest for lows coming through there. El Nino? Also at the end of the Euro seems like it wants to bring a cutoff of sorts through the SE with a trough behind it. Looks to stay interesting through October. Have a great day!

I can see some lightning 40-45 miles away from the weakening line of showers/storms approaching the triangle area... but it looks like they will all pass N of here (Clayton), unless the line backbuilds to the SW some.

Not much to them. I got hit with the largest one as the line went through. A bit of lightning and .25".

Looking like widespread 30's tonight for places in Western North Carolina with some elevation (above 2000 ft) and probably 40-42 here in the foothills. Leaf season should begin to take off during the next 3-4 weeks.

They're already starting to change in the higher elevations here in NE GA. Went up Richard Russel Parkway yesterday and they were very noticeably changing at the top. Many of them were already totally red.

56 last night but looking forward to the 40s which are forecasted for tonight. Yummy :snowman:

Interesting update by ffc...met showing 39 at ffc and the better radiatioal cooling spots near 40/low 40s.

.UPDATE...

FCST LOOKS GOOD SO FAR. NEW OBSERVATIONS AND MODEL GUIDANCE NOT

SHOWING ANY SURPRISES SO FAR...THOUGH THE 12Z MET GUIDANCE HAS

EVEN COOLER TEMPS TONIGHT THAN PREV RUNS. FCST FOR RADIATIONAL

COOL SPOTS AROUND 40...FFC PROGGED FOR 39. EVEN IF THE WARMER MAV

OR OUR FCSTS VERIFY...WILL APPROACH RECORD LOWS. HAVE ADDED MIN

TEMP RECORDS FOR TONIGHT BELOW. A LITTLE TOO WARM FOR FROST BUT A

REMINDER THAT FROST/FREEZE SEASON IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER.

Nice weather today and it's supposed to be 48 tonight. But, the heat is still hanging on. From Tues. to Thurs. next week, I'll have highs in the upper 80's and possibly hitting 90 on Tuesday. If I'm not done with the 90 degree weather already, next week should be the last of it. The warm weather could also be in Alabama and Georgia. Meanwhile, there are Frost Advisories for Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and even in Northern Kentucky.
