SouthernNJ
The storms have had several strong signatures today, especially in NE Arkansas and the Bootheel of Missouri. A very good signature is in the Bootheel currently, and does now have a tornado with it.

Hoosier
00z NAM has pretty good low level wind fields tomorrow in an arc around the low. Don't remember seeing them this strong on previous runs. Even if it's a bit overdone, looks like another shot of brief spinups though farther east than what we've seen the past couple days. Hoosier
22 tornado reports in MO/IL/KY the past couple days. Some may be dupes or not get confirmed but could end up being one of the bigger tropical tornado events in the region in a while.
Stebo
A friend from Central IL passed this along to me, this is someone he knows storm spotting. Tornado video from Near Cuba IL, interestingly enough, it doesn't look like there was any storm reports in that area. There was however a tornado warning for that time in that area. Ian
ILX page on the tornadoes. They have confirmed 9. http://www.crh.noaa....=86969&source=0 pretty impressive for that far north on a tropical sys.. in this 1950-2007 look there are none in IL. http://t.co/NtHYetxx about 20 confirmed so far now in u.s. -- tho new orleans and mobile havent reported yet (that i can tell) so could be ~50? An event like this makes one wonder how many tornadoes have been missed over the years. There are not as many remnant storms that have affected IL as other areas but it's very hard to believe that there were no tropical tornadoes during that stretch. Good point. This one probably had a longer window of opportunity farther north than most systems.
