Hmm, the NWS report does seem a little unreal, as it lists the time of today's 95 degree reading as 2:18 P.M. However, the hourly readings surrounding this reading are as follows:

13:52 -- 90 and overcast

14:52 -- 93 and overcast; see http://w1.weather.go...story/KDCA.html

So, did the temperature really rise five degrees in the 26 minutes between 1:52 and 2:18, then fall back 2 degrees between 2:18 and 2:52, despite overcast skies? Or did the sun come out briefly between 1:52 and 2:18?

The climo report has times in local standard time... you have to adjust it forward an hour for DST, making it 3:18pm and putting it between the 93F and 94F obs.

0.03" at my house :(

Hopefully we can even it up over the next few days.

I finally bailed. Last batch didn't have much lighting. Plus part of my lens fell off--hope it was the filter. Can't afford any more camera disasters!
