CranberryWX
Odd weather this morning with small, fast moving pop up thundershowers making a quick hit and dying off. Not much rain but some decent rumbles of thunder with them.
Ian
Slight risk for you northern Mid-Atlanticers. Late September derecho! EML baby
Hank Scorpio
I want to play golf on Saturday. Please don't rain on Saturday. But if it does, at least I can watch the Ryder Cup live. I'm moving on Saturday. Please don't rain on Saturday. The LWX forecast discussion makes it sound like a majority if the rain will fall friday evening and friday night, so I've got my fingers crossed (for those golfing, those moving, and those that just like nice weather on the weekend) that we can keep it dry for most of the day Saturday. Disc
That was an intense day of sun filled skies. I enjoyed the warmth, though.
Avdave
I like the rain and the cool temps. It's been a pretty nice stretch of wx the last 2 weeks I can deal with the rain but not like LWX was going for with chances thru sunday night. Ugh. Otherwise the cool temps can stay as long as they want.

catoctin wx
Interesting weather last night. Between 11:47 PM and 12:38 AM the temperature IMBY jumped 7.4 degrees. At the same time, the wind briefly changed to be out of the NW. http://www.wundergro...9&graphspan=day I'm used to seeing temperature jumps around 4-5 a.m. at my station due to (what I assume) is the LLJ mixing down the warmer air into the radiationally cooled valley my house sits in, but this was unusual. Picked up 0.20" from the thunderstorms that rolled through this morning.
