EastCoast NPZ
Got my obligatory sprinkle this morning that failed to even wet the ground. Another overnight low of 73. Horrifically humid again, but so far the clouds are at least holding the temp steady. Don't want another sauna-bath that we had yesterday. Good grief! Just looked at radar. How the hell did we miss that line of rain?
usedtobe
Radar looks decent here but we got the usual 57 raindrops. I've already had measureable rain, at least 0.01" so POPS here was indeed too low.

BlizzardNole
I can't believe Germantown ended up with basically no rain from Sunday to today. Good thing I went out and watered everything yesterday. Someone on here from my area posted "shut out" on Sunday in spite of the forecast -- they were right! aldie 22
Just a few drops at the house as I left for work but as I got further South and East the rain became pretty steady...Great Falls area was pretty wet as I passed through.

das
0.11" so far today. Nice gentle rain, it just needed to continue for about 24 hours. 0.18" here in SW DC so far. Nice showers. 0.00" at the house in Clarksburg. Post frontal showers just to the north of Clarksburg collapsed on the doorstep or are heading just to the west. Can't buy rain up there... Lower southern Maryland is getting pounded with some places up over 4" in the last day already with coverage and intensity increasing. I don't think they need it... usedtobe
The rain across the southern and southeastern suburbs has really put the max temp forecasts in doubt as here it is even getting a little foggy.
Stormpc
.49 so far. This is a big deal for me. Best rain day since May? My locale has missed every storm, pop up, squall line, outflow. You name it, I missed it. Got a few dying jabs a couple of times but more often than not, nothing.

I heard them still talking low 90s on the radio at like 1130.. I was confused. The NAM actually bailed on heat yesterday midday though I kinda ignored it for some reason. Ifd the sun comes out then maybe it still can get up there but the 90s max sure looks iffy at best.

EastCoast NPZ
It wasn't that bad this morning with the cloud cover. So it was a temporary reprieve 73 / 73 here this AM. Chunky Soup isn't as thick as that air. Practically needed gills to breathe. Sunny 87 / 72 now. Awful.
RodneyS
I spoke too soon with respect to BWI and IAD. However, DCA's minimum of 78 did break the record for September 5th. No record minimum for DCA today, but it could be the 31st day of 2012 -- and 4th straight -- with a minimum of 75+.
RodneyS
No record minimum for DCA today, but it could be the 31st day of 2012 -- and 4th straight -- with a minimum of 75+. The minimum fell to 73 last night, and so it looks as if DCA may finish 2012 with 30 days of 75+ minimums, compared with 38 such days in 1980.
