Brian5671
Well if you believe the GFS, the rain is gone for you Sunday morning. Both models suggest increasing clouds with showers developoing in the aftn. Sunday is a soaker on the euro. My guess is the rain hangs around into at least noon Sunday. This is for you. We will probably be wet a good part of the day here Sunday. Saturday may be ok into early aftn. Might be cloudy though. thx-just read upton's AFD-they are favoring Euro.... ctsnowstorm628
The Fall color was more apparent last Friday north of the 45th parallel in far northern NH and the high terrain of Quebec. It is on the March southward. Around Lac Megantic in Quebec I noted some of the goldenrod stuff looked a little browned like it might taken a hit by a light frost. Yeah Sheffield heights (right around 44.8N) at 1,850ft on 91 was beginning to flip over to some yellows and reds on the tops of trees Sunday evening on my way to Sherbrooke, Canada. Even down here at LSC at 44.5N we are beginning to see that.

It's amazing how fast it can move though...like every 3-5 days there's a noticeable difference. Mansfield should really start to light up over the next 2 weeks. You're in an awesome spot for foliage. I think the NEK is the best foliage in New England. It's always the first area to change and the rolling hills/mountains, plus lakes/ponds make it a great place for viewing. The general area is up over 1,000ft with hills to 3000ft, and the cold nights really bring out the color.

A friend if mine us going to the Comcast center on Sunday I told her expect rain, maybe thunder Oops Well further east like in Mansfield..it might be. Models have been all over with timing. My guess is the morning may be crummy. Hopefully better in the aftn, but it's iffy.

powderfreak
pretty decent cool shot on the 6z gfs and euro post fropa. +3 to +4C 850s. Yep highs in the mid 60s with lows near 40F in the forecast for next week. The step down continues.
powderfreak
We are getting destroyed recently by warm nights...last night only dropped to 60/60 before dense fog halted any further temp drop. Average is now upper 40s, so although daytime highs have been near normal, we keep starting days off with +5 to +10 departures that'll be hard to erase. I agree with LL that although it's real early in the month, we are still probably heading for yet another above normal month. We won't get a normal low temp until like Monday too, making like a week of solidly above normal mins. Hopefully next week we can get some cooler than normal lows though...like 40-45 type stuff.
