Mid 70's and moderately humid with a Td of 64, but there is a decent breeze. Soaking rains here for the last two hours.

CoastalWx
Nah..not really. GFS is alone on that I agree. GFS is too aggressive with that...but it will cool a little. The 12z GFS cut off the trough and therefore the cooler air.

Amped
12z GFS Noreaster right on the heels of a Hurricane. This does look lioke a good general descritption for what happened in 1804 snow hurricane only the hurricane actually hit land and a lot more cold air got pulled into the noreaster. CoastalWx
Scooter when is this happening? It would be next week like Bobby said. A cutoff low this time of year is always going to bring heavy rains to someone. Probably the interior northeast I would imagine.
dryslot
September has always been a pretty high qpf month over the years because of coastals

CoastalWx
If any of this comes to fruition, it could be a wet month. May lead to an overall below normal month temp wise. September to me is always a wildcard. Tropical systems can have a 2-3 day period that really affect temp departures in one way or another...depending on where you are in the CONUS. Throw in a few systems that come close enough..and it can tip temps one way or another.
CT Rain
GFS looks like fun. Kevin's storm is (AWT) hundreds and hundreds of miles from ACK but it certainly will be a stormy 15 days.

It has an extremely high variance for precip totals compared to most other months...definitely due to tropical systems or remnants.
